Two held with ganja

JAMMU, Oct 13: Two persons were held along with 1.5 Kg  of ganja from Shastri Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar Police Station, today.
A police spokesman said that on specific inputs, police team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka at Shamshan Ghati and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under mysterious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 1.5 Kg of ganja and arrested the accused, who have been identified as Tilak Raj alias Kaka son of Chain Singh resident of Nanak Nagar, and Mumtaz Ali son of Barket Hussain resident of Bihar at present Trikuta Nagar.
The arrest was made by the team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar, Manzoor Ahmed Kohli and SI Davinder Singh under the supervision of SSP Jammu, SP South and SDOP South.
A case under FIR number 229/14 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station  and investigation started.
