SIE Jammu organizes seminar on ‘Women Empowerment’

JAMMU, Oct 14: A divisional level seminar on ‘Women Empowerment’ for Masters and Teachers was held today at State Institute of Education (SIE), Jammu.
Out of 20 teachers, 12 teachers from 10 districts of Jammu division participated in the seminar. Two Masters/Teachers selected at district level were also invited to participate in the seminar.
The seminar was inaugurated by Field Advisor, SIE Jammu, SK Raina. Sarita Anand, Field Advisor, Social Science wing, while welcoming the participants explained in detail the purpose of holding such seminar.
In the valedictory function, Director School Education, Jammu, who was the chief guest stressed upon the participants to organize such type of programme at school level.
Sapna Slathia, Teacher, GHS Parliwand (Kathua) was adjudged as winner  while Alka Sharma, Teacher, GHSS Rehari and Kalsoom Bibi, Teacher, GHS Dhandel (Udhampur) were 1st and 2nd runner-up, respectively.
Principals, AQ Naqvi and Viro Devi, and Satya Choudhary, senior Lecturer from SIE Jammu acted as judges in the seminar.
Tapasya Sharma, Anuradha Sharma and Kamaljeet Kour conducted the proceedings of the seminar.The vote of thanks was presented by RO, SIE Jammu, Anuradha Sharma.
