Bootlegger held by Katra police

JAMMU, Oct 15: Keeping a tight vigil over smuggling of illicit liquor in the holy town of Katra, police arrested a bootlegger along with six bottles of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Katra Police Station led by SHO Ajay Bhatt intercepted a pedestrian at Ballani Check Post on Katra-Reasi road.
During checking, police recovered six bottles of country made liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Kaku Ram of Pouni, district Reasi.
A case under Excise Act has been registered at Katra Police Station and investigation started.
