JAMMU, Oct 16: High Court today stayed the premature transfer of Dr Anita Soodan, Principal MAM College, who was transferred from MAM College Jammu to Samba College within a period of 10 months.
“The grievance of the petitioner is that she was transferred against the transfer policy notified vide Govt. Order No.861-GAD of 2010 dated 28-07-2010 besides laying down minimum tenure of two years for a State Govt employee at one place of posting, the order also provides for inbuilt mechanism for premature transfers”, said Advocates S S Ahmed and Suran Singh appearing for the petitioner.
On this, Justice J R Kotwal issued notice to the respondents returnable within four weeks and subject to objection from other sides, stayed the operation of impugned transfer order dated October 14, 2014.
