JAMMU, Oct 16: One day long dharna at all district office of FCI throughout the country was held today to protest against trifurcation of FCI by Ministry of Food Government of India.
FCI employees under the banner of FCI Executive Staff Union held protest in front of office of Area Manager, Food Corporation of India, district office Jammu. The FCI employees lodged their protest against the proposed trifurcation.
Those who addressed the gathering were Bhupinder Singh, Patron, S. Sukhdev Singh, chief advisor, B D Sharma, State Secretary, Karam Chand, Chairman SC/ST, Amit Gupta Working State Secretary, Dharampal State Secretary, Keshav Sawhney, Additional Distt Secretary among others. The charter of demand is enclosed.
