JAMMU, Oct 16: The inordinate delay in regularization of services of Rehbar-e-Zirats (ReZs) of Jammu region today figured in the Cabinet meeting with Minister for Housing and Horticulture, Raman Bhalla seeking immediate justice for them.
Sources said that when the Cabinet finished the routine agenda, Mr Bhalla brought to the notice of Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues the uncertainty, which has gripped the ReZs of Jammu region.
“While the Rehbar-e-Zirats of Kashmir valley have been regularized, their counterparts belonging to Jammu region are still awaiting justice”, he said, adding “this is unfair on the part of those, who have to issue their regularization orders”.
Mr Bhalla further said, “the ReZs of Jammu are knocking the doors of the officers and politicians to seek justice and it would be un-justified on the part of Cabinet to allow them to suffer any more”.
Keeping in view the concern expressed by Minister for Horticulture, Chief Minister directed Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir to thoroughly discuss the issue with Mr Bhalla and resolve the issue of ReZs of Jammu within shortest possible time.
Later, Mr Bhalla and Mr Mir had a discussion on various aspects relating to the delay in regularization of ReZs of Jammu and it was decided that department would start issuing regularization orders within next few days after completing the formalities if any.
