Cardamom futures extend losses, down 0.55% on adequate stocks

NEW DELHI, Oct 17:  Continuing its losing streak for the third day, cardamom prices fell further by 0.55 per cent to Rs 832 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in offloading positions.
Besides, weak demand in spot markets has also put pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December declined by Rs 4.60, or 0.55 per cent to Rs 832 per kg in business turnover of 6 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in November shed 60 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 830 per kg in 61 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators, driven by adequate stocks position in the spot markets on increased arrivals from producing belts, mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
