JAMMU, Oct 18: The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu held 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The meeting was chaired by Hem Chander Jerath, Chairman of Jammu Local Centre and attended by large number of corporate members from all the engineering disciplines.
At the outset, Mohinder Singh, Secretary, welcomed the members and presented the Annual Report for the year 2013-2014. He also highlighted the activities of the Jammu Local Centre. The audited accounts for the year 2013-2014 were also passed by the house.
Anil Verma, former secretary of Jammu Centre gave voice to the long simmering demand for granting “State Centre” status to Jammu Local Centre. He requested the chair to take up the issue with the Headquarters. The house unanimously and vociferously gave their consent to this point.
Mohinder Singh conducted the proceedings and delivered the vote of thanks.
