JAMMU, Oct 18: One person was killed while two others injured in two separate road mishaps held today in different areas of city outskirts.
According to police sources, a motorcyclist namely Navdeep Singh son of Ranjeet Singh and resident of Ajit Nagar, Satwari (Jammu) died on the spot when he met with an accident with a truck bearing registration No JK02AN-0245 being driven by Bayant Singh son of Partap Singh and resident of Gobindpura, Chatha near Reen Palace.
His body was shifted to the mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and the accused truck driver has been arrested. His vehicle has also been seized.
Another mishap took place at Mishriwala in which an unknown vehicle hit a motorcycle.
The injured have been identified as bike rider, Vicky Tandon son of Krishan Lal Tandon and resident of Lale-da-Bagh and his pillion rider, Shubham Kumar son of Pritam Chand, resident of Bohri. Both the injured persons were immediately shifted to GMCH, Jammu for treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Kanachak and further investigations are on.
