RSS conclave ends with resolve to strengthen Hindutava agenda

LUCKNOW, Oct 9: The three-day national council conclave of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) culminated here today with a resolve to strength Hindutava at the ground level by opening shakhas at the village level.   A senior functionary of the RSS said here that in these three days, the RSS discussed many issues threadbare but it centered around Hindutava. “The issue pertaining to Hindutava were discussed in detail and all the frontal organisations were asked to work closely with the people so that their problems could be solved at the earliest,” he said.

He said no political discussions took place in this conclave. “The RSS is a apolitical organisation. We do not discuss politics but give our views on the political situation of the country. At this point of time RSS leadership felt that Modi government was doing a wonderful job and four months was a very small time to judge any government’s performance,” the RSS leader said.   In these three days, all the prant heads submitted their reports to Sar Sanghchalak. They also discussed high and low points of the region they are working in. All the prant heads were asked to increase the number of shakhas in their region.

“There is an increase in interest of youth in RSS. Therefore, it was decided the induction training period should be reduced to two from existing seven so that more and more youth can join shakhas,” the RSS functionary said.   Meanwhile, the RSS is using its frontal organisation Rashtriya Muslim Manch to dispel notions about Sangh among Muslims. Head of Awadh Prant of Rashtriya Muslim Manch Maulan Wahidullah Ansari said that they are working with minority community and trying to tell them RSS is not anti-Muslim as projected by some organizations.   The members of this Manch discuss vexed issues like Article 370 and Uniform Civil Code with Muslims. “We apprise them of RSS views on these issues. And more often than not we succeed in our endeavor,” he said and added issues like cow slaughter, love jehad and education of Muslim women are also discussed at length with them..   The Rashtriya Muslim Manch was set up in 2002 by the then RSS Chief K S Sudarshan and is working with Muslims since then.
