Coalition has betrayed people: Manhas

JAMMU, July 22:Turning tables on Coalition Government led by Omar Abdullah, BJP today accused the two alliance partners National Conference (NC) and Congress of betraying the people by making hollow promises with them during the elections.
Talking to reporters here today, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the people had high hopes that Coalition Government will settle their problems and end their all miseries but it has completely failed in delivering the goods.
Manhas said the unemployed youth are frustrate as Government has failed to frame a concrete policy to tackle unemployment. Moreover the power crisis, acute shortage of drinking water and worst condition of city roads has been cause of concern for the masses and it shows that the functioning of the Coalition Government is not up to the mark.
The BJP president said the condition of roads is worst and they have been converted into land of debris. The safety of the people has been left to NBCC, he added.
He said the people including permanent Government employees, daily wagers, adhoc employees, unemployed youth, women, farmers, pensioners, refugees, migrants, people belonging to down trodden categories are suffering but the Chief Minister, his council of Ministers and bureaucrats are enjoying the luxuries of life at the cost of public exchequer.
Lambasting the Government he said the Jammu is facing the worst ever power crisis in this hot and humid Summer forcing the masses to come to streets but the Government is not bothered to look into the problem and solve it.
The Chief Minister’s recent announcement to increase the power supply to cater to the needs of the people in Jammu region was an eye -wash as the problem is worsening day by day.
Manhas said the BJP has constantly been fighting for the rights of the people and the party has made many sacrifices for total integration of the State with rest of India and declared that party will continue to work for the same.
Manhas also introduced the new youth leaders to media persons who joined the BJP today saying they have realized that only BJP can solve the problems of the masses.
BJP state press secretary Balbir Ram, District Jammu president Rajesh Gupta and district general secretaries Jaideep Sharma and Mohan Singh were present in the press conference.
