NC kick-starts election campaign in R S Pura, Suchetgarh

R S PURA, Oct 27: Launching election campaign for the party candidates from R S Pura and Suchetgarh,  Ramesh Motton and T S Tony respectively, the National Conference vice president Rattan Lal Gupta today said that the party was  fully geared up for the ensuing democratic exercise.
He urged the party workers to fan out in their areas and apprise the people about achievements of the Omar led Government during the past nearly six years. He said the performance of the Government has been stupendous which has benefitted all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and their sub regions.
Mr Gupta particularly made a mention of the steps taken for the border dwellers and said these will go a long way in mitigating their problems.
Speaking on the occasion, Taranjeet Singh Tony said that National Conference has all along worked for the welfare of downtrodden people and those living in far-off and border areas. He referred to the initiatives of the Chief Minister in seeking mega package for the refugees of Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Chhamb areas.
Mr Tony referred to the problems of the border dwellers and said     that the Chief Minister has taken up their issues at the highest level with the Union Government.
President Youth National Conference S S Bunty also addressed the gathering and sought massive mandate for the National Conference candidates.
On the occasion, Rakesh Kumar Sharma was nominated as city president of J&K National Conference in RS Pura.
Those present on the occasion, included Daljeet Sharma, Tarseen Lal Sharma Sarpanch, Kulvinder Singh Sarpanch, Hajru Singh and Santosh Singh.
