Srinagar, Oct 30: Two teenagers drowned in Jhelum river this afternoon in Uri area of North Kashmir after rise in water level of the river.
The youth have been identified as Wahid Ahmad, 14 and Jalal Ahmad, 15 of Dawaran village.
People in the area protested against the NHPC and alleged that they released the water without any warning.
Police have registered a case (FIR no. 61/2014) in Police Station Uri.
