JAMMU, Oct 30: Police today rescued 11 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler from Patnitop in district Ramban.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Patnitop police post laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02W-2117.
During checking, police rescued 11 bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Dilawar Ahmed, son of Lal Muhammad Ahanger, a resident of Khonmoh, Srinagar.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at police post Patnitop and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Patnitop SI Muhammad Irfan made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban NS Parihar and SSP Ramban Javed Iqbal Matoo.
