JAMMU, Oct 31: A man allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a girl in Bun, Batyera area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
As per police sources, a man identified as Balvinder Kumar, a resident of Lower Muthi allegedly tried to rape a girl in Bun, Batyara area of Kanachack, finding the girl alone at her home.
The girl managed to escape and later along with her parents reported the matter to police station Kanachack.
A case under FIR number 191/14 under Section 376, 354 and 522 RPC has been registered at Kanachack police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. However, the accused was at large, when reports last were compiled.
