JAMMU, Nov 4: Famous Gojri writer and poet Ch Nazir Fida was remembered in a gathering of Gujjar writers and intellectuals held here today .
The programme was organized by Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation-a frontal organization of community to pay tribute to Ch Nazir Fida who passed away on October 9, 2014 at Rajouri after a brief illness. Fida was 71.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Javaid Rahi, Secretary Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation stated that Fida’s unique style of writing will be remembered for all times to come. His valuable contributions in the shape of poetry and prose enriched the Gojri language extensively besides Fida will be remembered for his perfect style in Ghazal writing in Gojri poetry, Dr Rahi added.
Those who paid tribute to Nazir Fida includes, Dr Shahnawaz, Mehmood Riaz, Parveez Akhter, Abdul Salam Kousri and Mohammad Rafi Khari. Besides Ch Amin Qammar, Fazal Hussain Mushtaq, Hussan Parwaz, Anwar Hussain, Dr Rafeeq Anjum, Abdul Ghani Arif, Mansha Khaki also remembered late Fida for his contributions to the Gojri language.
