JAMMU, Nov 4: A criminal was re-arrested by Satwari police for attacking and threatening complainant in police station.
As per police sources, a criminal namely Tajinder Singh, son of Darshan Singh of Simbal Camp, at present Azad Nagar, Gadigarh overpowered complainant Vijay Kumar alias Babbi, son of Yash Paul Sharma of Beli Charana in police station Satwari and also threatened him of dire consequences, when latter visited the police station to meet the Investigating Officer to know the fate of his case.
In full-public view, Tajinder Singh threatened Vijay Kumar of dire consequences if he gave statement against him and his friend.
On this, SHO Satwari police station Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary re-arrested Tejinder Singh and initiated legal proceedings against him.
It is to mention that, Tejinder Singh along with his friend had attacked Vijay Kumar with sharp edged weapon and a case under FIR No 157/14 under Section 307, 341, 324 and 323/34 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act got registered with police station Satwari in this regard. Tejinder was granted interim bail in the case.
