Nine gamblers nabbed by Gangyal police

JAMMU, Nov 5: Gangyal police arrested nine gamblers along with Rs 8,240 stake money and playing cards from two different places.
As per police sources, police team from Gangyal police station led by SHO Inspector Ajay Jamwal conducted raid in Greater Jammu area and arrested three gamblers along with Rs 3,200 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Sonu Singh, son of Moti Lal of Uttar Pradesh, at present Uttam Nagar, Gangyal, Mohammad Azad, son of Mohammad Mushtaq of Bihar, at present Gangyal and Mohammad Nazim, son of Akali of Bihar, at present Uttam Nagar, Gangyal.
Meanwhile, police team from Gangyal also arrested six gamblers near Kashmir Steel Rolling Mills and recovered Rs 5,040 bet amount and playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Kamlu Prashad, son of Raghubir Prashad of Uttar Pradesh, at present Gangyal, Santosh Kumar, son of Suresh Sahu of Bihar, at present Gangyal, Sonu, son of Ram Nath Rai of Bihar, at present Gangyal, Fakan Sahu, son of Mahadev Sahu of Bihar, at present Gangyal, Shambu, son of Shobi Sahu of Patna Bihar, at present Gangyal and Lachman Kumar, son of Jai Narayan Sahu of Patna Bihar, at present Gangyal.
Cases against 13 Gambling Act have been registered against the accused at Gangyal police station and investigation started.
