LEH, Nov 6: The SVEEP team of district Leh headed by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Simrandeep Singh, today conducted another training session for about 200 soldiers of Ladakh Scouts in Kharu sub-division in connection with the awareness of the service voters of Indian Army.
It may be mentioned that the Leh administration has taken this initiative to encourage the Army personnel to come forward and vote through the medium of postal ballot and also to ensure that minimum postal ballots get rejected.
The DC gave a detailed powerpoint presentation to the soldiers in which some of the mistakes committed by them during the Parliamentary elections were shown. So far, Leh administration has trained nearly 1000 soldiers and officers of Ladakh Scouts in this regard. More such trainings are expected in the run up to the Assembly elections.
