JAMMU, Nov 7: Police arrested two more accused involved in five robbery cases and recovered semi automatic pistol, 2 country made pistols and live cartridges from their possession.
The two accused, who were arrested today have been identified as Sachinder Singh alias Sehindi, son of Suchat Singh of Kotli Shah Doula and Rash Paul Singh alias Kella, son of Chuni Lal of Gagian.
The three accused, who were arrested yesterday were identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Mool Raj of Kirpind, Haqiqat Singh alias Ladda, son of Suraj Singh of Kullian and Satish Kumar alias Bindu, son of Charan Dass of Miran Sahib.
Addressing a press conference, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig said that on November 5, owner of a brick kiln namely Darshan Kumar, son of Bishamber Dass of Gandhi Nagar reported in police station Miran Sahib that three masked miscreants on black colour motorcycle intercepted his car (JK02AM-5017) at Nari-Kullian road and robbed him of Rs 75,000 at gun point. SSP Jammu Uttam Chand was also present in the press conference.
Accordingly a case under FIR number 125/14 and under relevant Sections was registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started, he added.
During the course of investigation, police nabbed some suspects and finally arrested the aforesaid five accused, he said.
On their disclosure, police recovered semi automatic pistol with two magazines, 3 country made pistols, 2 sharp edged weapons, pulsar bike, 15 cartridges, black mask, bucket and exhaust pipe of water, he added.
DIG further disclosed that the accused were also involved in various other cases registered with different police stations.
The accused were arrested by the team led by SP Headquarters Randhir Singh comprising of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh and SHO police station Miran Sahib SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta.
