Majid Wani seeks votes on development agenda

DODA, Nov 8: Minister for Road and Building and senior Congress leader Abdul Majid Wani  today said that prime focus of the Congress party would be on removing unemployment, power and road sector if the party comes to power in coming elections.
Addressing public meetings at Shiva, Masrounda, Suhanda, Drara, Alal Bani, Gangratha and Shaja in Doda constituency today,  Mr Wani said that it will be prime focus of the party to curb unemployment completely if the party is voted to power.  He said that after becoming MLA first time in 2002, he put his all the efforts to restore peace in the area and ensure better development. The area was otherwise, affected badly with militancy.
Mr Wani said that he laid much focus on road connectivity, health, PHE and power sectors. The people of this constituency were facing lot of hardships due to lack of these facilities. There is still much more to do for minimizing the miseries of the people, he maintained.
He said that with the creation of new tehsils, blocks and Niabats besides health centres, the people of  district Doda have been benefitted a lot. The new hospital complex at Doda is yet another big achievement. The road connectivity has witnessed much improvement in the entire Doda district. Sanctioning of new Medical College,  Chenani-Sud Mahadev- Doda- Chapran, Anantnag road are the great achievements witnessed now. He appealed the people to ensure the victory of Congress Party from Doda seat for much better development in coming years.
Several people including Sarpanchs and Panchs spoke on the occasion and assured support to Congress candidate and sitting MLA Doda Majid Wani.
