KATHUA, Nov 8: A minor girl died due to falling from the motorcycle she was riding on near Hamirpur area, falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh police station.
According to police, Diksha Devi (10), daughter of Surinder Kumar, a resident of Sumb had gone to her relative house at Chan Rorian along with her father. When the duo were returning home back, the motorcycle (JK08B-6106) they were riding on, slipped, resulting into serious head injuries to the minor girl.
The profusely bleeding girl was rushed to District Hospital Kathua, where she failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to her injuries.
The body has been shifted to mortuary of the hospital for postmortem, which will be conducted tomorrow. After completing legal formalities, the body would be handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Rajbagh police station and investigation started.
