Charak pays obeisance at shrine of Data Ranpat Dev

JAMMU, Nov 9:  Former Minister and senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak, visited Data Ranpat Dev shrine (Data Ka Talab) at Birpur to pay obeisance along with party workers today.
Mr Charak, who is Congress candidate from Bishnah constituency, accompanied by several party workers and leaders including  Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Capt Harshvardhan Sadotra, Madan Bhagat, Shamsher Singh, Surjit Singh Sarpanch, Gurdass Bhagat, Gurnam Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Surinder Singh and many others visited the shrine and offered special prayers.
Thereafter, a series of meetings were organized in Bishnah constituency including villages Sohagpur Colony, Soungali, Gudwal and Seora. The Congress leaders addressed a large number of villagers.
Speaking in the meetings Congress leaders highlighted the achievements carried out during the tenure of Mr  Charak, as Minister in the J&K Govt and appealed to the people to vote and support Mr  Charak to accelerate the pace of development in the area which stands stalled in the recent past.
While addressing the people, Mr Charak assured them that if he is elected, it will be his foremost duty to attend to the problems faced by the people of Bishnah constituency on priority. He further reiterated that his sincere efforts will be to provide better irrigation, electricity and drinking water facilities, better medicare besides maintenance of the Sub District Hospital, Bishnah and local dispensaries of the villages, accommodation for the Degree College, Bishnah, compensation to the affected persons due to recent floods and firing by Pakistan.
