J&K Bank opens ATM, conducts awareness camps

SRINAGAR, Nov 10: J&K Bank pressed one more ATM into public service at Gagren Shopian. The bank’s vice-president and Zonal Head Kashmir (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the machine in presence of Lead District Manager Ghulam Jeelani, Cluster Head Mohammad Shafi Salroo, members of Traders Association, members of Fruit Grower Association and local residents. Speaking on the occasion, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir said, “We are committed to provide world class banking facilities and services to the people besides customizing products as per their needs and requirements”. Meanwhile, making more and more people of the State aware of basic financial matters, J&K Bank conducted various awareness camps during the last fortnight. The bank’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling (FLCC) Poonch Centre organised an awareness camp in collaboration with Lead District Office at Govt Girls High School Draba in Block Buffliaz, wherein students and staff members of the school participated. A detailed overview of various saving and other deposit schemes was presented in the camp. A quiz session was conducted towards the end in which prizes were distributed among winners. The bank’s RSETI Sopore concluded its 21-day programme on “Dress Designing for women” in which 30 unemployed female candidates from various villages of Poonch were imparted training. District Development Commissioner, Poonch Mohammad Hussain Malik was the chief guest. He had an interactive session with the trainees and was impressed by their work and skills acquired during the training period. The certificates of participation were distributed by the DDC Poonch among the trainees. Lead Bank Kulgam organized two awareness camps at Yaripora and DH Pora which were attended by growers, traders, professionals besides officers from local administration. The audiences at both the camps were informed about the products and financial services provided by the bank.
