Rajneesh kick starts poll campaign in Bani

KATHUA, Nov 10: Congress candidate from Bani constituency Rajneesh Sharma alias Mian today kick-started the election campaign in this mountainous constituency and was accorded welcome by the people at several villages.
Mian, son of former Dy Chief Minister Pt Mangat Ram Sharma accompanied by Block Congress Committee leaders paid visit to Palote, Gali, Kalate, Banjal, Ria Sial, Batwal, Sadrota, Dugaini and Batodi and addressed corner meetings. He urged the people to support him in the Assembly elections to ensure better development in this hilly and remote constituency.
Mr Sharma claimed that only Congress party can ensure better development and keep people of all the regions united. The party has secular credentials and do not believe in hollow slogans. He referred to the massive development witnessed in the State during Congress regime. Mian claimed that he would always remain in service for the people of this remote area as he was fully aware of the problems of the people of this belt. He said that it was his dream to develop Bani as famous Tourist destination.
The people of the area assured full support to the Congress candidate and hoped that Mian would give much attention towards this constituency like his father Pt Mangat Ram Sharma. They said that Mian with the virtue of his hard work and care for the people has become popular in the area.
Prominent among those who addressed the gathering included Raj Kumar, Rattan Singh, Lal Chand, Kewal Singh Naib Sarpanch, Chaman Lal Sarpanch and Makhan Lal.
