Jammu, Nov 10: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment Amrik Singh Reen today said that rural and interior areas of the constituency are the worst victims of Government’s apathy.
Conducting door to door campaign in Ajit Nagar, Reen said that people of these areas are still suffering on account lack of basic amenities and facilities like, water, power, roads, etc.
He said that it was result of the wrong planning of the local public representatives that many people in these far flung areas have to suffer due to lack of basic amenities.
Reen said “while the public representative of the area is living a luxurious life, the common man has to wage a struggle for every day survival as basic amenities of life have been denied to the people”, and added some many of the areas of the constituency there is zero development on the ground.
General secretary of Mahila Wing Surjeet Kour, Harmeet Singh, Varinder Singh Sonu, Sunil Saini, Parvinder Singh and others accompanied Reen.
