JAMMU, Nov 12: Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Vinod Zutshi today inaugurated a web site www.jammuelectionservices.in for election related services for candidates and other persons of Jammu district in presence of Chief Electoral Officer, Umang Narula.
This is a unique website which offers one stop solution for all election related services to various stake holders especially to the candidates, political parties, printers & publishers and also general public for disposal of election applications and complaints. Any candidate can apply online or submit complaint online on 24×7  basis and the disposal will also be done online itself. The services which are included in this website include permission for rallies and procession, permission for campaign of  vehicles, information submission by printer under Section 134 A of RPC, application for pre-certification of electronic media content, complaint of MCC/expenditure violations.
Prescribed forms have also been made available online which can be downloaded and after its due completion it can be uploaded to the election service website with necessary documents which would be forwarded by the District Election Officer to the concerned officer for disposal under rule. Even reports of various departments including  police & traffic police will also be obtained online itself and there will be no requirement of manual transfer of papers and forwarding of the files.
All transactions in this application are on real time basis and immediately can be received by the officer to whom it has been forwarded. It will not only save the time of the candidate and other applicants but also remove hassle in disposal of their cases. It is helpful and time saving for the office and staff of DEO & Returning Officer and other authorities i.e police and traffic whose reports can be obtained online.
This website also contains all the information pertaining to the ongoing Assembly election regarding rules & regulations, orders, guidelines which are uploading on daily basis for information of candidates and general public.
Meanwhile, Mr Zutshi in presence of Chief Electoral Officer, Umang Narula flagged off a campaign  vehicle namely “Democracy Express” under programme SVEEP of Election Commission of India in District Jammu under the banner  “Wake Up Jammu” campaign.
This vehicle is decorated with the motivational slogans and pictures promoting voting awareness and also provides facility for online checking of names in electoral roll as well on spot registration of electors.
This vehicle will also carry EVMs and other promotional material which will be displayed at various locations to educate voters about electoral process and also motivate them in reaching polling stations on the date of polls. Any person who approaches for registration will be provided facility for online registration as well as manual filing of Form 6 and necessary support and guidance will be provided by the time moving in this vehicle.
This vehicle will be moving in the district in various Assembly constituencies on rotation basis and provide its services on various special occasions.
