POONCH, Nov 12: For the first time Army today organized a recruitment rally for enrollment of youth into Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment (JAK LI), at Surankote area of the district.
Thousands of candidates from all the districts of the State participated in the rally and underwent screening process, which included putting the candidates through varied physical tests—1.6 km run followed by physical measurements of height, weight, chest and finally their medical examination by a team of doctors.
Around 100 youth were found physically fit and they would undergo medical and written entrance examination subsequently.
The rally was jointly organized by JAK LI Regimental Center and Rashtriya Rifles Sector under Romeo Force to provide the youth an opportunity for shining their career in the Army.
The process of selection was purely merit based, giving a fair and impartial opportunity to all eligible youth.
