JAMMU : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Kishtwar on November 22 ahead of first phase of Jammu and Kashmir polls starting from November 25. “The Prime Minister after completing his three-nation visit will arrive India on November 21 and due to his busy schedule in the coming days, we were able to get the date for Kishtwar rally only which is to be held on November 22,” party sources here today said.
They said the Prime Minister would address the rally to woo voters for phase one poll in which six Assembly segments comprising Ramban, Banihal, Doda, Bhaderwah, Inderwal and Kishtwar will go to poll on November 25. Sources added that besides Mr Modi, stalwart leaders like Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and BJP National president would address rallies in Leh region on November 19 and 20 while party firebrand Sushma Swaraj would be visiting Kashmir to address a public rally. “We had requested for three rallies which was to be addressed by the Prime Minister in the first phase but due to his busy schedule, he was available only on November 22,” they said and added that Mr Modi may also address rallies in the coming days in rest of the phases.
