UDHAMPUR, Nov 15: Police today rescued three bovine animals and arrested one smuggler during a surprise naka on the National Highway near Kud.
Reports said that during the naka, laid by a police team headed by SHO Kud Inspt Ragubir Singh, a Tempo Traveler bearing registration number JK02AP-1157 was intercepted. Three bovine animals were rescued from the vehicle. Police arrested driver and also seized the vehicle.
Identity of the smuggler driver was established as Barkat Ali of Raj Pura Jammu.
A case under Section 188/RPC, 3 PCA has been registered in this connection at Police Station Kud.
