Manjit intensifies election campaign

Vijaypur, Nov 15: Congress candidate from Vijaypur Assembly seat and former minister Manjit Singh today alleged that educated youth in Bari Brahmana are being neglected in Industrial sector.
“Instead of giving preference to the local youth, the industries allegedly prefer to employ outsiders, while they keep local youth on job through a contract which is against the set norms,” Manjit Singh alleged, during campaign in Bari Brahmana.
Mr Singh, who was seeking support for himself ahead of assembly polls, appealed the people to strengthen Congress party so that the developmental activities can be taken up in the neglected areas. He alleged that no development has taken up in the industrial sector in Bari Brahmana and its adjoining areas.
He reminded the people that during Congress rule schools were upgraded, several schools were opened and tube wells were also provided at the needed places as per the demand.
Mr Singh also cautioned people against political parties bent on creating differences among the people on the name of religion.
“The people should teach a lesson to those who have been trying to divide society for their political gains though divisive policies,” he added.
Those who accompanied Manjit Singh during this campaign includes  Ex. Chairman Pushpa Raj, Chaman Lal Kullar, Jagdev Thappa, Sohan Lal, Des Raj.
