Pensioners Association demands release of pending 10% DA

JAMMU, Nov 17: All J&K State Pensioner Association today asked the State Government to release the pending 10 per cent DA.
Talking to media persons, Madan Lal Abrol, general secretary of the association said that the State Government has failed to release the pending DA, while as the grants for the same were already released by the Central Government.
“Government enhanced the medical allowance of Legislators, but ignored the senior citizens, which shows the step-motherly treatment of the State Government toward pensioners”, he alleged.
He appealed to the State pensioners to remain united to fight for their legitimate demands.
He also demanded pending installment of 6th Pay Commission, 50 per cent DA to be merged with the basic pension and reduction in the fare prices of commercial vehicles.
Among others present were Puranchand Khajuria, Des Raj, Harbans Singh, Yashpal Sason, Bhushan Pargal, etc.
