Rajouri, Nov 17: Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Khan has asserted that Congress is the only party which can do justice with all the sections of society.
While addressing a public meeting at Ghambir Mughlan, he said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed fast track development in all the sectors due to continuous intervention of Ghulam Nabi Azad and his tireless efforts changed the scenario of the State.
Khan was earlier welcomed by a huge gathering, as the Niabat as well as Block status has been recently given to Ghambir Mughlan area. Sarpanch, Panchs and prominent People of the area thanked khan for his efforts in the creation of various Administrative units in Rajouri constituency. Mr Khan said creation of new administrative units is historic decision of the Government to bring the administration closer to the people.
He highlighted various achievements and said that false claims are being made by the contesting candidates during their campaign. He reiterated that massive development beyond the expectations of common people has been witnessed by Rajouri constituency in the last six years. Roads with the estimated cost of almost Rs. 18 crores are being constructed in the area. Khan said that roads are the life lines of the area and people were given enough connectivity especially in rural pockets. Khan assured the gathering that due attention shall be paid to Power and PHE sector. He said that Congress has made its agenda to tackle the issues of unemployment and to stabilize the financial condition of the state. The party would continue to provide an inclusive platform for all regions and communities of the State for opportunities of growth and development.
Mr Khan said the focus of new Government shall be improvement in infrastructure as the State has just faced major damages due the recent floods. Khan said separate colonies shall be constructed for the people living in flood prone areas and areas adjoining to the river. He assured the people that necessary steps shall be taken to restore the normalcy in the flood hit areas.
