NEW DELHI, Nov 18: Amidst a weak trend in the global market and subdued spot demand, copper prices fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 419.60 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month February shed Rs 1.10, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 419.60 per kg business turnover of five lots.
Metal for delivery in month shed 85 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 414.20 per kg in a turnover of 132 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak global cues amid data showing property prices declined a second month in China, the largest metals consumer, and after weaker industrial production data in the US.
Besides, subdued demand at domestic spot markets weighed on the prices, they said. (PTI)
