JAMMU, Nov 18: Integrated Farming System Research model, developed by the Farming System Research Centre , SKUAST-J under the leadership of Dr Dileep Kachroo, Chief scientist and Head, Agronomy and his team, is gaining momentum among the small and marginal farmers.
Twelve farmers of Samba district are adopting the IFS model under OFR of AICRP-IFS, Dhiansar.
Dr A K Gupta, Sr Scientist, I/C OFR Programme of AICRP – IFS is constantly guiding the farmers for adoption of IFS model. Dr Anil Gupta (Plant Pathology) made the farmers to learn the latest technique of successful mushroom cultivation . The farmers are being practically demonstrated the composting techniques at their respective farmers field.
