KU makes admission of students longer than elections

SRINAGAR, Nov 19: The Kashmir University has made the admission procedure for post graduate courses lengthier than electing a new Government.
Scores of students who appeared in the entrance test for LLM four months ago are still waiting for their admission notification from the varsity.
Although the Law Department has issued notification for the self financed seats, it has not yet issued notification for general list.
Angry with the delay by the varsity, students said that the Law Department has wasted their four crucial months of their career.
“The non-serious work culture of the university has again come to the fore. It does not care about our career,” said the students.
Varsity officials said the list has been sent for screening and will be notified very soon.
“After two days, we will issue the notification as the list was sent to screening. The official concerned was on leave for four days so it got delayed,” said Head of Law Department Mohammad Ayoub.
