5 injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 20: Five persons today got injured in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a speeding car bearing registration JK02AP-7771 hit a scooter having registration No JK02Q-8520 from back side here at Sidhra area and injured its two occupants and a pedestrian.
The injured persons identified as Salman (20) son of Rehmat Khan, resident of Uttarakhand (at present at Channi Himmat), Akshat Saini (20) son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Sidhra (Jammu) and Tilak Raj (50) son of Kamloo Ram, resident of Majin Sidhra were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
An aged man namely Surinder Singh (58), son of Jagat Singh, resident of Sainik Colony also got serious injuries when the bike (registration No JK02AD-9538) he was riding on was hit from back side by an unknown truck heading towards Jammu. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In another case a Scorpio car hit a scooty near Narwal area and left injured its rider namely Mansi (22), daughter of Sunil, a resident of Gurkha Nagar, Jammu. She has also been shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
