JAMMU, Nov 20: Independent candidate for Jammu West Assembly constituency, Dr Anil Dhar today assured that he will work for overall development of the constituency honestly and upto the best satisfaction of the people.
Releasing his poll manifesto at a press conference here, today Dr Dhar said he will work for honest, sensitive and responsive administration, development of better civic amenities like clean drinking water, better electricity supply, better lanes and drains, better roads, multistory parking facilities at multiple places, creation of parks at multiple places and aesthetic landscaping of all unconstructed areas so that Jammu becomes a model city.
Dr Dhar said improvement of Bus Stand, Railway Station and Airport will be also his priorities.
He said, he will do his best to address unemployment problem, improve healthcare by having more sub-district hospitals at periphery of Jammu city so that GMC is off loaded and its functioning also improves.
He said, he will work for establishment of more degree colleges in periphery of Jammu city and settlement of issues relating to PoK and West Pakistan refugees.
Dr Dhar plead to bring the term of Assembly to five years on national pattern,  fight for cause of professionals like doctors, engineers etc and make promotions and selection process transparent and merit based and completely abolish favoritism and red tapism besides stagnation in services will also be addressed.
He said project of approach road to 4th Tawi bridge would be taken up on a war footing. Drainage system of Krishna Nagar area would also be taken up on priority basis where water logging following rains is a big inconvenience. Widening of Janipur Ambphalla road/or alternative road, widening of Talab Tillo road, regularization of some residential areas in Janipur and similar issues from other areas of Jammu West whenever brought to notice would be addressed on a war footing.
He said he will also work for honourable return of Kashmiri migrants to Valley after reaching a consensus on the issue in consultation with all the stakeholders.
Maintaining that politics is a medium of public service for him, Dr Dhar said he will try his best to do whatever he can and  need the cooperation of people in this mission.
