JAMMU, Nov 21: Continuing with his election campaigning in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency, BJP candidate Kavinder Gupta visited Govindpura, Chatta, Bhour Camp and Gandhi Nagar areas to seek support and vote of the people.
Gupta, addressed public meetings besides going door to door along with Party leaders.
He, while appealing the people to vote in his favour, said that a God sent opportunity is knocking their doors to teach lessons to parties like NC, Congress and PDP, for betraying them. He said that during the last Assembly elections the people of Jammu had returned a large number of Congressmen to the State Assembly with high hopes that their voice shall be raised and problems solved but the elected representatives failed to come up to their expectations.
It is indeed very unfortunate that the leaders of Congress in particular compromised on the interests of Jammu for the sake of Ministerial berths. Although Jammu based Congressmen were inducted as Ministers in the NC-Congress coalition Government but they did not had courage to talk of discrimination with Jammu in matters related to employment, development, welfare schemes etc. These ministers feared of losing their Ministry and the result was Jammu kept suffering and received discrimination at all levels and in all spheres.
He said that the BJP stands for mitigation of the sufferings of the people by defeating the candidates of Congress, NC and PDP and forming Government in the State after achieving Mission 44+.
These meetings were organized by Sanjeev Kumar, Neeraj Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Rakesh Jalali and Ravinder Raina.
Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Baldev Singh Biloria, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Satpal Choudhary, Pitambar Sharma, Ishant Gupta and other leaders accompanied Kavinder Gupta.
