JAMMU, July 24: Pradeep Jain was installed as President of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi (2012-13) at a function here on Monday. While Mrs. Rajni Jain was installed as President of Inner Wheel Club Jammu. The ceremony started with the recital of National Anthem and prayer by members of Inner Wheel Club Jammu followed by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dias. Upkar Singh Sethi Distt. Governor (Distt 3070) and Mrs. Rajni Sehgal Superintendent Jails were the Chief Guest for Rotary Club Jammu Tawi and Inner Wheel Club Jammu.
Secretary of the Club for 2011-12 Sunil Jain gave a detailed report of the activities under taken for the year 2011-12 under the guidance of IPP Aseem Tandon.
Mr Tandon during his address emphasized to work for the upliftment of the needy people and gave a brief report about the inmates of mentally challenged home which are being taken care jointly by Rotary Club Jammu Tawi & Inner Wheel Club Jammu.
Pradeep Jain during his address appealed to all members of Rotary Club to work on the Slogan “Peace Through Service” given by the Rotary International president Sakuji Tanaka.
Distt. Governor Sethi during his address requested all the members for donation to the Rotary Foundation which in turn is used for the projects undertaken by the respective cubs and also appreciated the work done by Rotary Club Jammu Tawi.
Almost all the members of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi & Inner Wheel Club were present. The Presidents & Secretaries of other Rotary Clubs were also present. Raman Wazir presented the vote of thanks.
