JAMMU, Nov 22: Banyan International School won five out of nine positions, including all three first positions in the Inter-School Art Competition hosted at the school, today.
Three age-groups competed in the event, with the Sub-Junior Category (Classes 3-5) drawing on the topic “Recycle, Reuse and Reinvent”, the Junior Category (Classes 6-8) tackling “Monsoon Mania” and the Senior Category (Classes 9-12) painting about “The World as I See It”. Ayush and Aika of BIS clinched first and third place in the Sub-Junior Category, with Ishita of KC International taking second place.
In the Junior Category, Sarthak and Sarandeep of BIS also took first and third place respectively, with Dupinder of the Air Force School taking second place. The senior category featured some stunning submissions, with Raghav of BIS claiming first place, Reetika of BSF School taking second place. Vashili of KC International rounded off the top three in this category.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Shounak Lahiri praised the overall quality of the students, and thanked his faculty for their hard work in teaching the students of the school to espouse their creativity and imagination.
