JAMMU, Nov 24: In view of the present prevailing security scenario, forthcoming assembly elections and to stimulate the security system, a mock drill was carried out at Railway Station Jammu.
During the course of said exercise, SP Railways Jammu Suram Singh took stock of GRP deployment at Railway Station Jammu, the SP Railways along with Chanderjeet Singh, SDPO GRP Jammu and Inspector Neeraj Choudhary, SHO PS GRP Jammu visited all the venues of deployment.
The jawans and officers were briefed and debriefed that in case of any exigency they will be the first to respond and later on other security agencies will also assist in the culmination of the ANEs.
During the drill, the stress was laid on both the aspects of acting including to pin point and engage the army as well as other concerned agencies on the safe rescue of the general public and passengers.
During the said drill, besides the representatives of the army, RPF, 36 Brig under the command of Brig Sh Ganguly and SP Operations Jammu Udhay Bhasker Billa also participated.
The main motive of the drill was to define the area of responsibility among each concerned security agency. Each participant was assigned a fixed responsibility to cordon and to act in the defined area. The teams were identified for carrying out their respective assigned task in case of any militant/fidayeen attack.
