JAMMU, Nov 24: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana, Jammu on the concluding day of the celebrations of Quami Ekta Week, orgainsed an essay writing competition on the topic “growing regionalism is a great threat to National Intregration” under the aegis of population education and Adult and Continuing Education Club, today.
Chairman of the college, Prof Anmol Singh who was the chief guest appreciated the efforts and stressed upon the students to be responsible citizens and uphold the social and patriotic values.
Dr Kiran Luthra exhorted the participants to spread message of communal harmony and brotherhood among the masses for peace and prosperity of the Nation.
25 students of the college participated in the competition. Shweta Koul, Gurpreet Kour and Sanjay Kumari were adjusted first, second and third respectively.
Prof Inderjeet Kour, Prof Sewa and Prof Charanjeet Kour were the adjudicators.
The programme was coordinated by Prof Anju Sudan.
