1 dies, 4 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 24: A minor girl was died while three others were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, a Tata Mobile bearing registration Number JK02AG-8659, today a hit a minor girl near Panj Mandir, Sector-D in Sainik Colony while crossing the road. The profusely bleeding girl identified as Ashiqa (8) daughter of Bharat Singh, a resident of Nepal (at present Sainik Colony) was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and the vehicle involved in the accident seized. However, the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot.
In Kathua, a man identified as Arun Bhardwaj (34) son of Dev Krishan, a resident of Kathua, got injured when the bike he was riding on collided with another bike at Kathua.
At Rajbagh, one motorcycle borne youth identified as Gurmeet Singh, son of Surinder Singh of Rajbagh also received injuries when his bike got slipped.
Two persons also got injured when the car they were travelling in, hit the divider at National Highway in Bari Brahmana area. The injured persons have been identified as Navdeep (37) son of Neelam of Samba and Silander Gupta.
In all the cases, the injured persons have been shifted to GMCH for treatment and the same time, the concerned police have also taken cognizance of the matter.
