Voting begins for 1st phase of J&K Assembly Elections

JAMMU: Voting for the first phase of J&K Assembly Elections 2014 has started in 15 constituencies spread across 7 districts with enthusiastic voters seen casting their precious vote to decide the fate of 123 candidates in fray.

According to the initial reports first hour of polling has seen people coming in increasing numbers to cast their votes. Polling stations in different constituencies have witnessed people of different ages and gender casting their votes.

At polling Station Daderhama (Ganderbal) 32-A, 51 votes were polled till 8.30 a.m whileas at Polling Station 3-Dhobipora (Ganderbal) 86 votes were polled till 8.50.a.m.

In the Ramban constituency, at Polling Station Dukson, 20 votes were polled, at polling station-62, 32 votes were polled, at polling station 63, 45 votes were polled. Similarly, at Rajgar-64, 30 votes were polled while as at polling station-31, 27 votes were polled by 10 a.m.

Similarly, in Kangan constituency, 94 votes were polled at Vosun-A, Polling Station, at Kangan-B, 163 votes were polled and at Vailoo-B, 67 votes were polled and at polling station 32-Margan, 144 votes were polled.

In Bandipora Constituency, at polling station-56, 142 votes were polled, at polling station-57, 99 votes were polled, at polling station-59, 115 votes were polled, at polling station-60, 132 votes were polled and at polling station-61, 123 votes were polled when the last reports came in.
