Political, social, student organizations join Anna Hazare crusade against corruption

JAMMU, July 25: As Team Anna today launched an indefinite fast raising the pitch against the UPA Government on the issue of corruption, hundreds of people of the civil society joined in support, holding a protest.
Hundreds of supporters of Anna Hazare, assembled outside Press Club and raised slogans against the Government for not taking action against the corrupt ministers.
The protesters demanded a strong Lokpal, setting up of a special team to probe corruption allegations against Union Ministers, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, setting up of a fast track court to try criminal cases against MPs and SIT looking into allegations against party chiefs.
Members of various political and social organizations including Shri Ram Sena, Kranti Dal, Vichar Kranti Manch International, Duggar Pradesh Party, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF), Sikh International Intellectual Forum, National Panthers Students Union (NPSU), J&K Pensioners Association, Shiv Sena United, etc extended their full support to Anna Hazare and his entire team for their crusade against corruption.
Pavitar singh bhardwaj, president, JPPF, in his speech stressed upon the Government to immediately bring a strong Lokpal bill to curb the corruption and take necessary steps to bring back the black money stacked in foreign banks.
While speaking, Rajeev Mahajan, State president, Shri Ram Sena said that the corruption is prevailing in the society and the Governments whether Central or State are watching all this with open eyes but not taking any action against those involved in corrupt practices.
Addressing the gathering, Partap Singh Jamwal, provincial president, National Panthers Students Union (NPSU), said that the students are the future of the nation and if this kind of corruption will go on, then the students will have to face manifold problems in the coming times.
He added that a joint force is required to curb this menace of corruption and if not done, then this menace will swallow the future of the students and the future generation.
Meanwhile, during a press conference, Bansi Lal Sharma, State president, Bharat Swabhiman Trust (BST), also extended full support to the Anna Hazare team for strong Lokpal bill, setting up of a special team to probe corruption allegations against Union Ministers and setting up of a fast track court.
He said that it is high time for the Government to pass Lok Pal bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Parliament beginning on August 8.
