RAJOURI, Nov 27: Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Khan has said that people of Rajouri Constituency shall give befitting reply to the communal forces dividing the society for the vote bank and grab power.
Addressing series of public meetings at Mangalnad, Dreri, Neli, Dabrote and Manyal in Manjakote area of Rajouri constituency today Mr Khan said that vote for Congress will be vote for the development. He said citizen of the State should participate in polling irrespective of caste, creed, colour and region. Khan urged the people to vote for him in order to bring transparency in the system and it be a will be reward for his efforts made for the development of this Pir-Panchal region. He said time has come when people should think above party politics and come forward to vote.
He alleged that BJP and PDP are playing complimentary and supplementary to each other in polarising the electoral battle with common objective of weakening secular forces. They are pursuing the agenda of development for their welfare, as their only priority remained to indulge in intrigue so as to lay their hands on power by “hook and crook”, khan said.
The Congress MLA highlighted his achievements and said that road network has been spread by the Congress Government. He said that he will act like a bridge between State and the public and will serve selflessly. Khan said that he tried his best to bring various people friendly schemes for the public and proved his worth during his both tenures the as Vice Chairman Pahari Board and as Minister for various departments. At Neili a large number of youth of the area accorded warm welcome to MLA and accorded full support. Khan assured them to work hard for removing unemployment.
Taking a strong dig on the BJP, Mr Khan said that the party is known for inciting the sentiments of innocent people in the name of religion and communalism, which have no place in the pluralistic society of India. The hollow slogans of BJP don’t work now and people know their game plan. He said that people with nefarious designs have been exposed and communal forces shall get befitting reply in the elections.
