JAMMU, Nov 27: A delegation of J&K Non-Gazetted Statistical Employees Association (NGSEA) headed by its president PS Jamwal today met RA Banday, Director General (DG), Economics and Statistics, J&K, at Janipur and took up various pending issues of Planning/Statistical cadres.
A detailed and threadbare discussion was held with DG. During the meeting, Jamwal deliberated upon various long pending issues pertaining to the Planning/Statistical cadres and urged upon him to take every necessary step to address the issues at an earliest.
The issues that were taken up in the meeting were DPC of In-charge SOs, SAs and JSAs, Quasi Permanent Order of JSAs, SAs and SOs, training of JSA’s and SA’s, refresher course for SOs instead of examination, regularization of consolidated /Casual/daily wagers who have completed 7 year of service, clearance of pay dues of Statistical personnel attached in various offices, modification of transfer orders particularly of female, physically challenged and medically unfit officials who are posted in far flung areas in different CD Blocks and In-situ promotion of Statistical Officers and Statistical Assistants.
The issue of deputation of Statistical officers for specialized training outside the State and creation of Welfare fund for Planning/Statistical personnel also figured in the meeting.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere wherein DG gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the pending issues projected by the association will be addressed as soon as possible.
Among others, HR Bhagat, Joint Director, Showkat Ahmad Shah, Jaswant Singh, Ravinder Singh, Masood Simnani and Mahmood Iqbal also participated in the meeting.
