NEW DELHI, Nov 28:
CRPF Special Director General R C Tayal was today named as the acting chief of the country’s largest paramilitary force till a successor to incumbent Dilip Trivedi is appointed.
The 1980-batch IPS officer has been asked to “look after” the top post of the force as Trivedi is set to retire on November 30.
“Consequent to the retirement on superannuation of Dilip Trivedi, IPS (UP:78) Director General CRPF on November 30, 2014, the competent authority in the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved that the charge of Director General CRPF will be looked after by the next senior most officer i.e., R C Tayal, IPS (AM:80) Special DG CRPF till the appointment and joining of successor,” a statement from the Home Ministry said.
