JAMMU, Nov 29: Reiterating promise to work for the development and upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society, former Minister and Congress party candidate from Suchetgarh Assembly constituency, RS Chib said that he will strive hard for the overall development of the constituency if voted to power.
Chib said that it is unfortunate that under the incumbent MLA, the border people are suffering for the basic amenities like roads, power supply and water connectivity.
He said this while door-to-door campaigning in Dablehar, Sandeh, Fatehpur Camp and Hansochak area in the Suchetgarh constituency along with the Congress block president and number of Congress activists.
Addressing the people at Sandey, Chib said that this area is till date suffering with the social taboos like discrimination and Congress Government in center as well as State has always worked for bringing equality among all the castes and communities of the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that Congress is known for its commitment of equality among all sections of the society for which it will continue its fight whether it will be in power or opposition.
“I am working for the last over 32 years for the overall development of the Suchetgarh constituency but my hands were never empowered by the masses through their mandate. So I appeal them to vote for Congress in the State Assembly elections for the all round development of the border constituency”, Chib said.
“I promise that the infrastructure for the tehsil would be constructed at a central and convenient and acceptable place to all so that have not to cover long distances for reddressal of their grievances.
As far as the majority Jat population of the teshil is concerned, it is my commitment to the voters that if I will be elected to power, all the burning issues of Jat community would be highlighted for an immediate solution”, said Chib.
